Peermont CSI Awards 2018

On Friday evening, August 17 Peermont Hotels Casinos and Resorts held its annual CSI Awards which celebrates and recognises the hard-working people that make Peermont CSI community projects a success, at Emperors Palace in Gauteng. Among the projects and students honoured were:

Umfolozi Hotel, Casino and Convention Resort in Empangeni received the “Top Community Project” runner-up award for Peermont properties for its New Africa Education Foundation and Human Progress Management initiatives. Collecting the accolade was Umfolozi’s Pam Nagappa (General Manager) and Cassie Pillay who are pictured here with Peermont CEO, Nigel Atherton.

the Southern Highveld Community Development Trust (SHCDT), sponsored by Graceland, Casino and Convention Resort in Secunda received the  Peermont Property  “Top Community Project” award for building a school hall at KI Twala Secondary School in eMbalenhle to the value of R1.5-million. Collecting the accolade, from Peermont Financial Director, Grant Robinson (left) was Graceland's General Manager, Willem van Rooyen (middle) and  Trust Chairperson JP Mlangeni (right).

Among the recipients of awards at the event, instituted to acknowledge the schools, educators, learners, projects and small businesses that make Peermont CSI community endeavors a success, was three youngsters who graduated after receiving scholarships from Rio Hotel, Casino and Convention Centre In Klerksdorp. The three graduates, KJ Tsotsetsi (Post Grad Management Diploma), MM Radebe (LLB Law) and MJ Mosebe (BCom Economics Honors) are pictured here celebrating their success with Rio’s General Manager, Hennie Steenkamp.
